FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What does the setup actually look like?

A freestanding inflatable enclosure that we pump up on site in a few minutes, with the impact screen, projector, and launch monitor mounted inside and removable side panels. Because it is enclosed rather than an open screen on a frame, the picture stays dark and sharp even at a bright midday event. That is the part most people do not expect.

How much space do you need?

The enclosure stands about 14 feet wide, 15 feet deep, and just under 11 feet tall. We ask for roughly 15 by 18 feet so there is room to stand and watch as well as swing. Indoors that means an 11-foot ceiling; outdoors there is nothing overhead to worry about. If you are not sure your space qualifies, send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

What do you need from us?

One standard outlet and a reasonably level surface. Grass, gravel, concrete, and ballroom floors all work. Everything else comes with us.

How long does setup take?

About an hour to set up and forty-five minutes to take down. Both happen outside your event window, so you are only paying for the time people are playing.

What if it rains?

Better than you would expect. The simulator lives inside a fully enclosed tent, so the screen, the projector, and the tracking are under cover before the first drop lands. We bring extra tents and patio heaters for your guests as well, and both are included in the rate. Oregon weather is the reason we set it up this way. Only genuinely severe conditions are a problem, and if it comes to that your deposit moves to another date.

What can we actually play?

Stroke play and scrambles for groups that want a real round, and closest to the pin or longest drive when the mood is lighter. Famous courses throughout. For larger events we can run a bracket or keep a leaderboard going all night.

Can beginners play?

Yes, and they usually have the best time. The simulator gives instant feedback, nothing is lost in the woods, and a first-timer is hitting decent shots within about ten minutes.

What clubs do you bring?

A Callaway men’s complete set comes with every booking, along with junior clubs so younger players are not left out. You are welcome to bring your own clubs if you would rather play with what you know.

How far in advance should we book?

Summer weekends and December fill first, often months out. For those, book as early as you can. Off-peak dates are frequently available with a couple of weeks’ notice.

What does it cost?

$175 per hour with a one-hour minimum. A $50 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total; the balance is due on the day.

Is the deposit refundable?

The deposit holds your date, so it is not refundable as cash. It is transferable: give us seven days' notice or more and it moves to any other available date within twelve months, at no cost. Inside seven days it is forfeited, because by then we have turned other work away. If we cancel, or if the weather is genuinely unsafe, you get it back in full.

Do you travel outside Portland?

Regularly. The Portland metro is included in the rate. Farther out is usually possible with a travel fee, which we quote before you pay anything.
